Anastasia Sukhopara, violinist and educator, was born in 1989 in St-Petersburg, Russia. She had studied under the direction of professor Oleg Shulpiakov, touring artists Mikhail Gantvarg and Pavel Popov at St-Petersburg Conservatory’s School for the Musically Gifted before she was awarded a World Scholarship and came to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA for a Performance Degree. Aside form her school work Anastasia was a member of the Civic Symphony Orchestra of Boston during 2007-2008 concert season, also substituting for numerous orchestras in Boston area. Anastasia’s performance experience includes appearance in the Morning News on FOX25 TV with New York based artist Mario Spinetti, production of musicals "Secret Garden" and "Passion" with The Young Artist Association, and a regular participation in performances at the worship services at CityLife Church in Boston. In addition to her classical music career, Anastasia enjoys collaborations with artists outside the classical arena, having shared the stage with Jetro DaSilva, Rosa Passos, Leo Blanco, Oscar Feldman, Eugene Friesen, Oscar Stagnaro, Dave Samuels, Winston McCow, Ken Zambello and many others. Anastasia is the newest member of the Boston String Quartet having joined this ensemble in February 2008. Anastasia currently offers violin/chamber music lesson.
