I have taught violin in my private studio for over 50 years, during which time I have written a series of method books, ONE STEP AT A TIME, for the teacher who be looking for an approach which is simple, yet comprehensive. My first teacher, with whom I began when I was six and continued with for 12 years, was a pupil of Leopold Auer's assistant, the great German pedagogue. I went on to major in violin performance in college, played in several professional symphonies in OH, PA and FL, and have participated in American and International teacher training workshops in the United States, Switzerland, and Italy. In addition, I have had extensive Suzuki teaching training experience. With this broad background, I have been able to combine the best from all to develop my own teaching philosophy and techniques. My students place high in various competitions, some have gone on to play in professional orchestras, and many have their own violin studios.
