Hi!
I have a private violin studio (ages 7 up). My oldest beginner was 60 - it's not too late! I also freelance & love playing for weddings, anniversary dinners, fund raising events, etc. (private poolside parties are the best!) I was born & raised in Michigan (excellent public schools; my 1st year at a university I was able to take 3rd year calculus with no trouble!), moved to Arizona (the sunsets and hiking were amazing), and after my Master's Recital moved to Alabama (gorgeous springtime blooms). My interests are classical, Celtic and jazz music, everything about eyes and vision, cool eyeglasses, anything yoga, my cat Scat, beekeeping (try my honey sold at Tria Market, the Bham Botanical Garden gift shop and Clairmont Pig), gardening, photography, wine tasting and traveling. You may sometimes see me performing in and around Birmingham with the Alabama Symphony, at fundraising events, Birmingham Opera, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Summerfest and Red Mountain Theater musicals. I was a founding member of the string quartet "Women In Black" which plays many events in and around Birmingham including City Stages. I am a member of AF of M Local 256-733
